My experiences at the United Nations and the U.S. State Department have significantly shaped my leadership style and deepened my understanding of diplomacy and policymaking. At both institutions, I learned to thrive in fast-paced environments and gained valuable insight into diverse governance structures and decision-making processes.

At the United Nations, I was involved in the civil society sector, where my work focused on lobbying and advising professionals on various policy issues. Representing a young professional-led organization DMUN Foundation, I had the unique opportunity to contribute to policy recommendations from a youth perspective. Our research and initiatives highlighted the voices of young professionals, bringing fresh insights to the table. I also participated in several public speaking engagements where I advocated for critical issues such as women’s empowerment, youth involvement in finance, and the intersections of climate and energy. These experiences allowed me to raise awareness and promote sustainable development goals on a global platform.

During my time at the U.S. State Department, I worked in the Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations, where I focused on how the critical minerals and energy sectors can influence economic development and stability. My responsibilities included contributing to research and policy recommendations, particularly exploring the role of public-private partnerships in stabilization policy. I examined how collaboration between government agencies and companies specializing in energy and critical minerals could support U.S. foreign policy objectives, which can reduce poverty and unemployment, and ultimately enhance national security to improve US-Central asian relations.

Central Asia is a region of strategic importance due to its abundant critical mineral resources. I studied how stronger communication and collaboration between U.S. government bodies—such as the Department of State, Department of Commerce, and the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation—and private sector companies that focus on critical minerals could create mutually beneficial opportunities and contribute to the betterment of stabilization policy.

Throughout these experiences, I observed the powerful intersection between economics and security and how it influences diplomatic strategies. At the UN, I also developed my diplomatic voice while maintaining a strong advocacy role for youth issues. In particular, I focused on women's rights—an issue deeply tied to both social justice and sustainable development. Women and girls disproportionately face violence and unemployment, often due to persistent cultural taboos that limit their opportunities. Addressing these inequalities is essential not only for gender equity but also for building more resilient and peaceful societies. Overall, my time at the UN and the State Department has strengthened my commitment to diplomacy and public service. These experiences have equipped me with a global perspective, policy expertise, and a deep motivation to advocate for inclusive governance. I am especially passionate about advancing women’s rights, promoting U.S. diplomacy, and increasing female representation in traditionally male-dominated sectors. We can better achieve sustainability, equity, and lasting peace worldwide by fostering women's representation in policymaking.
