The United Nations Association of the United States of America (UNA-USA) and The Campaign "United to Beat Malaria"

I had the opportunity to talk to fellow Americans from across the country during the Youth Declaration of Human Rights. I got to talk to other young advocates about finding solutions to improve the American domestic and foreign policy. I was able to hear concerns from young leaders on how we can empower the youth to participate in women's rights organizations and on the fight on the prevention of climate change. During my discussion on the "Gender Equality Development Session"  I was able to emphasize on the importance of having more women in politics and diplomacy. I was also able inspire youths from across the U.S. to fight for their rights as a woman and I was able to inspire them that nothing impossible. Everyone is capable to be in the field of politics and diplomacy, as long as you are passionate for a cause and are willing to create a positive change in our world today, then politics and leadership is for you. It does not matter what your background is as long as you are willing to fight for the rights of our fellow citizens, then nothing is impossible to achieve at the field of leadership.

During my meeting with the UN, my fellow advocates and I had a great meeting  with Ms. Jayathma Wickramanayake, United Nations Secretary-General's Envoy on Youth for International Youth Day! It was great to learn from youths from around the world on their concerns on how we can improve policy development in foreign relations and how we can improve the SDG agenda of the UN. I also had a discussion with the US Special Envoy of the youth Abby Finkenauer and the U.S. Department of State. We were able to discuss the importance of youth involvement in foreign relations. Not only that, I am deeply honoured to represent the State of New York at the LCOY Youth Summit in Washington DC on October, which is organized by "YOUNGO" and UN Climate Change! And I am so excited to represent the 12th Congressional District of New York on the campaign for the fight against malaria.

United To Beat Malaria Campaign

It is such a great opportunity to be one of your ambassadors representing New York and Indiana University (Online) for the campaign “United To Beat Malaria” which is organized by the UN Foundation. Join me and the team to prevent malaria, because as you guys  know malaria has been giving negative effects to our health. We should continue advocating about the prevention of malaria to develop solutions on different ways to prevent this issue. My fellow advocates and I from across the US, are developing solutions with our members of congress to prevent the spread of this disease. Thank you so much UN Foundation for this great opportunity

Meeting with Bahai International Community, Ambassadors and UN officials

Ahead of the UNGA I am here to brief congress with the United to Beat Malaria campaign and United Nations Foundation ! Lets go team New York! I am looking forward to discuss the US foreign policy and domestic policy about different solutions to prevent malaria. On behalf of @BeatMalaria, I would like to thank  the office of Jerry Nadler for meeting with us today and for Congress’s continued support of @PMIGov and The Global Fund, we can be the generation to #BeatMalaria for good!

With Senator Jack Reed’s office we were able to talk about the dangers of malaria when it comes to our military. According to the Department of Defense, one of the main factors that is affecting our military is the disease malaria. Especially to our military serving in Africa, there has been concerns of health issues and deaths from our military because of this disease. The team and I gave some policy recommendations to prevent this virus from spreading to safeguard our citizens and the military.

I am here at the UNGA! Representing American youth and MGCY. I am looking forward in collaborating and negotiating with other young advocates about women’s rights, diversity and the prevention of climate change. I am looking forward to talk to officials and activists on different ways we can improve our countries policies and the SDG agenda. We also got the chance to listen to world leaders in their speeches and take part in negotiations and collaborations with them.

"International Youth Conference" discussion about the importance of human rights and youth leadership. I was able have a discussion alongside other young leaders from around the world. The event is held as a UNGA side event. It is great to interact with other young advocates about the importance of gender equality and human rights.

LCOY 2023

It was great to talk to youths from across the country in finding different solutions to prevent the climate crisis from escalating. I was able to contribute in drafting the "National Youth Climate Statement" which would be presented to the government. And I was able to be involved in discussions for mitigation and adaptation. My fellow advocates and I were able to develop new ideas for our government to help prevent climate change from happening. With my specialty in defence and security, I was able to discuss how military weapons and nuclear weapons affect our environment. Relating this to the conflict happening worldwide, I was able to share my thoughts on how military weapons affect infrastructure which can bring great damage to our environment as well. Not only that, but the climate crisis can also affect military operations. It was great to talk to other young leaders and to develop solutions on how to save mother earth. We the youth will stay motivated than ever, to prevent climate change from occurring in our environment.
