I had the privilege of attending the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainability and Development, representing Hallmark International Youth Club (Hallmark USA) and the High-Level Political Forum Youth Group. This opportunity allowed me to connect with activists from around the world who are passionate about development, climate change, and women’s empowerment.

During the forum, I engaged in discussions and negotiations with UN officials, international ministers, and scholars on strategies to combat the climate crisis, reduce inequality, and enhance climate education for women. I also collaborated with NGOs to explore ways to increase resources for women globally, particularly those facing sexual abuse and discrimination.

Additionally, I participated in a meeting focused on funding for climate change organizations and the role of governments in addressing these issues. The alliance among nations has never been stronger—each country is committed to contributing to the fight against climate change and gender discrimination.

I was also honored to meet fellow members of the United Nations Association of the United States of America, where we worked on policy recommendations for the U.S. Human Rights Foreign Policy.

As young leaders, we must continue working together to fulfill the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) agenda—because when we do, nothing is impossible. It was inspiring to see the UN actively engaging youth in this summit, ensuring that every voice had a chance to contribute to policy development.

I am grateful to witness the growing strength of youth participation in global decision-making. However, our work is far from over—let’s continue empowering young people and inspiring women to become the leaders of tomorrow.
