Alexa is an advocate for women empowerment and climate change. She participates in organizations such as "Voice in Sport", which is an organization for female athletes and artists to speak up about their cause of equal rights for women. She is also one of the ambassadors for "Plastic Free Fridays" which is an organization that promotes the banning of single use plastics. She hopes to have her voice be heard and to help create a change in this world with her activism. One of her goals is to inspire young women to speak up about their cause because with more advocates  , we can help create a better society.   She is also a member of the United Nations Association in Canada where she assisted reporters from CBC news, Reuters, CTV, The Guardian, La presse, BBC , Radio Canada etc.
